Chris O'Brien's debut album, "Lighthouse," was released in 2007. After completing the record, O'Brien was selected out of a pool of nearly 1,000 contestants to appear on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion." (Listen to the show, right.) The following week, "Lighthouse" became a bestselling singer/songwriter album on iTunes, peaking at #5. The album was also featured on iTunes' "Best Albums of 2007" compilation.
Little Red (2010)
In 2010, Chris O'Brien released his second critically acclaimed album, "Little Red." This collection of songs is all about introspection, which highlights O'Brien's growth as a songwriter. "I wanted to confront my boundaries as a writer through honesty and self exploration," he commented. "I've already felt the rewards of that honesty in the reactions I've gotten from people after hearing these songs.." "Little Red" was produced by Zachariah Hickman (Josh Ritter, Lori McKenna).
